Trophy and Harvest Data

BaseMap’s Hunt Research package, powered by Eastmans’ MRS data, is a powerful tool when planning for your upcoming big-game hunts. Use it in conjunction with BaseMap PRO on Desktop or Mobile to filter units and find which units hold trophy quality animals.

In addition, Hunt Research gives you unit specific season dates for each individual weapon season, an approximate amount of points it takes to draw the unit, and the percentage of public land in the unit to name a few of its features.

Unit Grade & Harvest Data

You may be searching for a unit that grows trophy quality animals or you may just want a unit that is easier to draw. Whatever your motivations, Hunt Research powered by Eastman’s MRS data will help you find what you are searching for.

Hunt Research gives you an overall trophy quality grade for each unit, an approximate amount of points it takes to draw for both residents and non-residents, and breaks this information down by weapon season thus giving you the exact information you need to make an educated decision.

Percentage of Public Land

A crucial part in your decision making of which unit to apply for may be how much public land is available and how accessible that public land is.

Hunt Research arms you with that information including the percentage of public land inside the unit, who owns it (BLM, National Forest Service, State Land, etc…), an overall grade of how accessible that public land is, and the terrain difficulty on a scale of 1-5.

Avg Points To Draw

While there are many factors that go into making a decision of where to hunt, your odds for drawing a particular hunt certainly play an important role. Hunt Research gives you a research-backed estimate of how many points it takes you to draw a particular unit as a resident or non-resident and for each specific season be it archery, muzzleloader, or rifle.
